Flying free Emerald Group By Caitlin

Week 2
Emerald Group 1
 Title: Flying Free School Journal Part 3, Number 1, 2010
 Learning Intention: I am learning to retell the text back from the beginning, middle and end.

1. Describe the kites up in the sky?
Red and Black lizard tugs at it’s string

 2. What’s wrong with Anna?
 She has a broken leg

 3. Why was Anna grumpy?
 Anna would like to gone too but her cast is to heavy

 4. Why did Anna like the bird kite?
 It is thinner than the other bird kites and can fly more higher

 5. What does Anna see at night?
 Anna sees the bird kite again as she’s falling asleep. She sees its sharp beak and narrow head

 6. Why couldn’t Anna go outside and why?
 When her leg sweats it gets itchy

 7. How does Anna spend her time?
  She makes a bird kite
 8. What materials does Anna use?
 She finds some left over nylon. It wasn’t the right colour but red and green will do Anna finds a packet of neddles and matching cottons.

 9. Why was Anna feeling worried?
 She might not be able to launch it without help
 10. Describe the process in flying the kite. She was happy with what she made because it was flying high

 11. Why was Anna feeling happy?
The kite flies now and soon becomes a red and green bird. It was flying higher and higher

 12. What did Anna imagine at the end of the story?
 Anna imagines herself flying over houses, roads, parks and hills.
