My Awesome Swim
My Awesome Swim
Today I went swimmming with my Nan, Auntie, Cousin and my Sister. We went to the Panmure Lagoon pools. We were in the inside pools because the outside pools were not open. When I got in the water it was really cold but when I was in there for a while I got use to the water and it got warmer.
Me, My cousin and my Auntie were playing Shark. Shark is where someone has to chase you and then they have to hold you for 3 seconds and then you are in. My Auntie got tagged the most and I got tagged the least because I was hiding in the corner. My Nan just watched us swim. My favourite part was when we went to the big pool and we had a swimmming race. I versed my sister and I won so they called me the champion I hope we can go back there soon.
My Awesome Bike Ride with my Family by Caitlin
The Magnificent Bike Ride
On Sunday the 29th Septemeber My Mum, Dad, Sister and myself went for a really long bike ride. It was a good day to go for a bike ride so we decided that we should go. I took my bag and put my water bottle in it. It was time to leave we started to ride our bikes and went through Panmure. We biked down Riverview road to get to the Panmure Bridge.
We biked across the Panmure Bridge and went to the Panmure Wharf. There was a reserve next to the wharf. We followed the path to get to the entry. When we got there we thought that it would be easy but it wasn't it was really hard. The reserve was really we saw lots of dogs going for a walk. We stopped a few times to take a break. I was in the front until my sister came in front of me.
Finally we got to the park it was so awesome it was a snakes and ladders park. There were 2 big dices that you had to spin. I versed my mum to see who could get to the end first. There were ladders but instead of snakes there were slides. I won the game so I was the champion of the game. I only went down the slide once so that was good. We had to leave to start riding back. We were very fast riding back. When we left we biked back to Panmure to have some lunch. We had Sushi it was really yummy. It was time to leave so we could go home so we left and went home. As soon as I got home I ran inside and lied down on my bed. The bike ride was so awesome I hope we can do it again.

My Production Reflection by Caitlin
My Production Reflection
Our class production is about Aoraki and the Southern Alps. It is about how the South Island was made. The main actors are Aoraki (Latham), Tuterakiwhanau (Patrick), Rangi Sky Father (Halaiano), Papa Earth Mother (Lavinia), Hine nui I te po (Fine), Narrator (Angel), Mokopuna (Caitlin, Samantha, Oh S’mar Ducks (Raymond and Jason), Fish (San Tat, . The props we have made are tussocks, flax, bushes, trees, mountains, flowers and something that is really important in our production is our waka. The props were made by our whole class. Mrs Kelly has been helping us with the decorating and the designing. For most of our costumes that we have made we have used cardboard. Everyone with a speaking role has managed to learn their lines. I think that we are making really good progress in our production. The things that need to improved on are that some people need to speak louder and look at the audience more. I think that our class production is going really well. In the production my role is Mokopuna. I have a speaking part in the production. The main thing that Mokopuna has do is help Tuterakiwhanau find Aoraki. Most of our actors are using expression. I think that Papa (Lavinia) is really good with using her body language to show expression. Her hand gestures are really good. I think that timing is the thing that we need to work on because some of the flowers pop up too late.
Rangi (Halaiano) is good when he lifts up the mountains as if they were pebbles. Tuterakiwhanau (Patrick) needs to work on expression and look at the audience a little more. Narrator (Angel) is really good at speaking clearly and using lots of expression. Hine Nui I te Po (Fine) is doing good work but needs to use a little bit more expression.

My Matinee Reflection by Caitlin
My Matinee Reflection by Caitlin
Today at 11:00am we performed in front of Tamaki Primary’s Juniors and a lot of parents. Our performance was second to last. We were all excited to go on stage for our performance. Finally it was our turn to go on stage but it was raining so most of our props were soaking wet and for some people were really cold. Aoraki and his brothers were first to go on stage along with the Narrator, Ducks, Fish, Flowers, Trees, Rangi and Papa. I think that some of us need to speak louder and more clearer. When the Mokopuna (Samantha, Oh S’mar, Jasmine and Myself) and Tuterakiwhano go on stage Patrick uses a loud clear voice. When we start sailing I hang out of the waka because there is not that much space in the waka. When Hine Nui I Te Po (Fine) and the Sandfly (Yvette) come on stage the sandfly could make buzzing noises. I feel that today we did an excellent performance.

My Instructions on how to make a Friedrich Vordemberge Gildewart painting by Caitlin
Title: How I created my Friedrich Vordemberge Gildewart Painting
Equipment List:
Example of the painting
1 x 30cm ruler
1 HB pencil
Eraser
Poster size of an A2 paper
Paint T-shirt
2 x Paintbrushes 1 thick paint brush & 1 thin paintbrush
Paint - Three coloured paints
Instructions:
1. Plot dots every 5cm across (Horizontal) on your A2 paper.
2. Draw your lines going across on every 5cm you have marked out.
3. Plot dots every 5cm going down (Vertically) on your A2 paper
4. Draw your lines going down, make sure you draw your line along every 5cm mark.
5. Number the coordinates on your A2 paper.
6. Plot a dot in the top left corner from (1,4) going diagonally down and plot a dot from (1,3) going down to make the shape of a triangle.
7. To draw the next triangle it will be much easier. From (2,4) draw the line straight down, this triangle should be inside the triangle we just drew.
8. Plot a dot on the bottom right corner (8,9) and (11,6) to make your triangle.
9. Now you have to draw the rest of your art outline. When you have finished that rub out your grid lines lightly.
10. Pick your 3 acrylic paints for example my colours were blue, white and red.
11. Mark your spots that you are going to paint. When you have done that, you can start painting using your base colour.
12. Plot the dots on the next space that you are going to paint and then start mixing and blending to make lighter and darker shades of your choice.
13. Find a contrasting colour to paint the fine lines in your artwork.
14. Once you have finished your painting you will need to let it dry.
15. Use a hairspray to make your artwork look nice and shiny
